Twenty Freaking Four

I don't think you ever imagine yourself older then 18 when you are kid. The world of adulthood is far too foreign to even try to comprehend. Now I sit a 24 year old gal and realize that perhaps adulthood is not too distant from the great childhood I enjoyed. Maybe I have to work 40 hours a week, but the world around me is filled with amazing people, food, and adventures. I'm excited to enjoy the next 365 days of being 24. With 24 I hope to develop some new hobbies like sewing and skiing. I'll also start volunteering for Make-A-Wish next month. 24 is going to be great, I know it!

I celebrated my birthday last night with a Halloween party. All of my roommates invited friends so it wasn't a birthday party except for the fact that a lot of strangers and sprinklings of friends sang happy birthday. The best part of the day was the fact that I got to dance for 4 hours straight in our dance room! Dancing and costumes are my favorite. This month was particularly great because I got to dress as Bowser (mean guy from Nintendo games) and Paul Bunyan (as shown above with friend, Leslie, dressed as Johnny Appleseed) ! I'm proud I made both costumes, which is quite a stretch for a girl who usually buys costumes in bags.

Hope you have a lovely Halloween!
