Weekend Sundance Movies

20 Feet From Stardom
This documentary was absolutely incredible! It was one of those movies you feel uplifted and edified just from viewing. The women featured in the film about backup singers came out during the Q&A and sung! Simply awesome.

Touchy Feely
This movie was bland. There were moments that made me laugh and the awkwardness of the Dad was entertaining but nothing really happened and nothing made me care about the characters.

What They Don't Talk About When They Talk About Love
I liked the idea of this movie, teenagers at a blind school who are exploring love with their fellow classmates... but I didn't really get it. Maybe I'm slow but I left that movie a little more confused about what it actually was about.

The Stuart Hall Project
This documentary was cool because it was all pulled from clips of Stuart Hall's TV appearances and interviews. I liked that the soundtrack was Miles Davis but it felt like the story dragged a lot. Hopefully the director can retool it because the story was insightful to social challenges in England in the 1950s and 60s.

Cutie and the Boxer
I watched 30 mins of this movie and fell in love with it! I sadly had to go work on other things during my shift but I loved the animation in the documentary in addition to the interest dynamic between this artist couple. Cutie's husband (boxer painter man) was a real tool and I hope to someday finish this doc to know what happened to their marriage.
