I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Each day I work to draw closer to God through my actions and thoughts. I seek to be a little better and I'm grateful my religion has an awesome structure to help with that process. I also love being a Mormon because it provides me with so many answers to life's questions. I know I'm a daughter of God who loves me and has allowed me to come to this earth to receive a body and gain experience. I know that Jesus Christ came as a Savior to this earth so all of God's children could return to his presence someday. I'm grateful for Joseph Smith and his divine direction to help restore Christ's church he established while he was on the earth. I know the Book of Mormon is a book though written hundreds of years ago has application to my life toady. I know that Thomas S Monson, who is the President of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, is also a living prophet who receives prophesy today. I know that true happiness is found in seeking to be more like Christ, through serving others and trying to rid myself of selfishness. I'm grateful that temples and the priesthood which were once upon the earth but were lost in the dark ages are now available to bless our lives. I know that because the priesthood was restored I can be with my family for all eternity after I have left this life on earth. I know that prayer, though it feels you are just talking to yourself sometimes, brings light and hope to all of life's challenges. I don't know these things because I personally met Joseph Smith or saw the golden plates he used to transcribe the Book of Mormon and angles have never appeared to me and I have never died and seen the other side, but I know that these things have been testified in my heart and demonstrated in my life over and over again that it is true. And that knowledge is all I need to have a little more hope each day.
