Sunny Seattle

I haven't been to Seattle for nearly 4 years and this trip was a different kind of trip. I spent half of this trip with family and the other half with a friend who is like family. 

My uncle Jared and his family live on several acres of land on the island of Camano. The island is covered in thick woods with water front visitas everywhere. My uncle and I caught breakfast and then we pulled his kids out of school on Friday to go drive around the area. It was great, we chatted lots, and enjoyed ice cream. 

I saw Eagles in their natural environments which was awesome! Then we went back to my uncles house after the drive and I took a glorious nap. That night my uncle had friends over and we had a BBQ. I made a cheese ball. It was nice to get to know my Aunt and Uncle's friends. Also my cousins are just the cutest and kindest kids. My cousin Mac was being the biggest gentleman, he opened my door for me and got everyone pizza for lunch. 

Saturday I headed to Demelza's house to hang with her and her new baby girl. She is pretty perfect! The babe, Inara, rarely crys and is so alert. Demelza is just the epitome of a fantastic mom. I feel like I'm surrounded by so many friends and family who are just allstar moms. I feel blessed to learn from them continually. I'm pretty sure being a mom sounds like the best gig around.
