Scott and I took a weekend trip to Southern California where we attended Disneyland and California Adventure. We rode 27 rides over the two days of excessive smiling. My favorite was Space Mountain but I also really loved Splash Mountain. Scott loved Splash Mountain the most since he forgot how strange it is in parts of the ride. We both found the Pinocchio and Wild Toad ride freaky. We played lots of games in line and discussed the need for a Beauty and the Beast coaster story ride and possibly an Aladdin themed carpet ride. Jungle Tours should also be a Lion King ride and not a weird African tribe theme. I particularly enjoyed dining at this middle eastern place in Anaheim where our waiter wore a bolo tie and more precious gem stones than I have ever seen on a man.
We then traveled to Santa Barbara to visit my friend Liz and Aaron. The whole trip was filled with delicious food! While in Santa Barbara we traveled to one of American's least visited national parks the Channel Islands and we kayaked around sea caves. We ate at Finch and Fork as recommended by Danny and Jenny, which turned out to be Liz and Aaron's favorite dining destination!
