Karina's Wedding Weekend

In late elementary school and middle school I had a close bunch of gal friends. We loved American Girl dolls, building clubhouses, planning birthday parites, rollerblading, talking about our friend club called "Party of Five" and singing to Spice Girls songs. One of the gals from this group, Karina. became my dearest friend. As relationships with the other gals changed Karina and I just became closer friends. We did everything together. We designed weird clothes, had crushes on similar boys, played sports, completed science projects together, enjoyed drivers ed with one another and watched tons of movies. Karina was the friend who pushed me to ride my first roller coaster, yes I was 15 when it happened.

We have continued to be friends since 4th grade despite the fact that I moved to Utah for college and she moved to Austin and then Dallas. Sure friendships have to bend and grow as life continues and rough patches happen here and there. Perhaps we don't talk everyday but we have this close bond that I don't think time will ever destroy.

Karina was married in early February which was just so awesome. We have talked for years about the future men we wanted to marry and we had planned a Plan B in that if we don't marry we will live in the woods and sell Jam on a highway. I'm most stoked that she found Patrick. He is such a good man who adores her and understands her and celebrates her and he just gets her.

I stayed with Aisha over the course of wedding weekend which was sensational. I could play with Monroe tons! My sister came to Dallas too with her family.

The wedding was lovely, just beautiful with incredible food. Aisha and I helped setup with other bridesmaids and groomsmen. The reception center overlooks White Rock Lake, which is gorgeous! I loved the wedding so much because I saw so many familiar faces. My friend Stacey was the photographer, Amanda my friend from Kindergarten was there with her family, my third grade teacher, and other many great friends from San Antonio. Best of all Karina and Patrick were just glowing and so so happy.

After the wedding festivities I went to an aquarium with Ashley and her family. Nyla is like her mom. She loves aquariums! Also I had no idea how friendly stingrays can be.

Sunday night I watched the Superbowl with Aisha, Nick and Monroe. All around an incredible weekend filled with lots of love!
