Worth the Wait

I fly on buddy passes sometimes because I have this lovely friend who loves to share her benefits. Often these passes result in me hanging out at the airport for 14 hours..like yesterday where I tried to fly to Dallas. But fortunately I had Netflix, Wired magazines, the book Unbroken, the movie Last of the Mohicans and my cell phone. I had entertainment for days.

I tried for three different flights and finally got on the last flight not to Dallas but to Austin where my dear pal Demelza retrieved me. I had no plan to go to Austin it just ended up being the best way to get to Texas for Aisha's wedding. 

I sometimes try to control life and predict each moment but I'm learning to just let God direct me. Things I could not have anticipated yesterday:

1. Seeing Demelza and just enjoying her kindness

2. Meeting an attractive man at the airport who snagged my number. I think I need to hangout in the airport more cause that is the place I meet the most dudes, minus the fact I hate the airport currently cause I keep expecting to see the last dude I was hanging with who works for Delta.

3. Getting the most spacious spot on the plane with extra legroom and nobody next to me.

4. A ride to dallas with my pal Becca would perfectly align on Saturday.

These simple yet awesome things remind me that good things come to those who wait. I gotta stop trying to figure out everything and just enjoy the ride.
