This movie was like a Cajun fable. With the setting of the film as Louisiana I was a bit skeptical, since wetlands are not my favorite places, but it actually proved to be a moving flick. The girl who was the main character deserves an Oscar. The whole cast had never acted before but you would never know. The music was Beirut-ish and the opening sequence was incredible. Some of the themes in the movie were kinda lost on me but all in all I strongly recommend this film! 4 stars out of 5.

Talk about worst trip of your LIFE! This movie is centered on two couples who go on a trip to Cambodia that forever changes their lives. The opening scenes got me really jazzed to travel but then made me a bit hesitant. No not really... it made me think I should be more hesitant. But this Australian film was well made, had a unique story, but at times I felt it was a little slow. I jumped once and had to cover my face twice so good signs it was a well done drama. 3.5 stars out of 5.
This film explored the sadness of aging without being sad. Frank is an older gentleman who lives alone and is trying to deal with loosing his memory, which he is denial about. His kids don't know how to help him, so they buy him a robot. The robot becomes his friend and fellow partner in crime. This is a movie I could take my parents to and I know in the closing scene I could look down and see them both crying. I got a little for-clempped. 4 stars out of 5.
