Sundance 2014

So it begins...

Blue Ruin
I watched 30 mins of this movie and then two rows of the riser benches caved in during a volunteer movie so it was cut short. Nobody was hurt thank goodness. But this movie did intrigue me. Homeless guy seeking revenge for his parents death.

Happiness
This was a documentary set in Bhutan after the president announced that the internet and TV  and electricity would be expanding to the country. It was amazing to see the anticipation and excitement these new conveniences were to bring the people. The story was centered on a young boy whose mother takes him to a monastery with the hopes that it will give him a better life. Overall the story was incredible. I loved watching the boy experience junk food and city lights and all the new modern technogies. It makes you question if a simpler life is really better than one riddled with so many "conveniences"  And my favorite gal Lindsay joined me for the movie. Man I love that girl! One of those friends you just connect with!
